Faittos was the ancient name of the village of Zarkos, a name considered by some authors to be a corruption of Phaistos. Lollingii, at the location of Krya Vrysi, brought to light a marble inscription 0.72 meters high on which is written a resolution of the city of Faittians to Gorgias the Gyrtonius.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-73fa96a elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"73fa96a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"686\" height=\"748\" src=\"https:\/\/farkadona-culture.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/faytos-zarko-3.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full wp-image-7554\" alt=\"Fayttos Zarko\" srcset=\"https:\/\/farkadona-culture.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/faytos-zarko-3.jpg 686w, https:\/\/farkadona-culture.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/faytos-zarko-3-275x300.jpg 275w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 686px) 100vw, 686px\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0c356c3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0c356c3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In 1957, during the opening of the village&#8217;s aqueduct, a clay jar full of Macedonian talents with the head of Alexander the Great, dating around 264 BC, was found in the precincts of the local church.
