To quell their reactions, the state issued a decree saying that administrative sanctions would be imposed if they did not comply with the order. <\/p>\n<p>However, the inhabitants, even today, use the old historical names that were passed down from generation to generation, because the &#8220;roots&#8221; are not forgotten and not easily uprooted.<\/p>\n<p>We present below the old and new names of all the villages of the Municipality:<br \/><strong>Zarko<\/strong> = Faittos<br \/><strong>Krini<\/strong> = Vostidi<br \/><strong>Petroto<\/strong> = Liaskovo<br \/><strong>Oichalia<\/strong>= Neochori<br \/><strong>Pineiada<\/strong>= Zarko Mari<br \/><strong>Taxiarches<\/strong>= Kritsini<br \/><strong>Faneromeni<\/strong>= Koyrmpali<br \/><strong>Achladochori<\/strong>= Vorgiani<br \/><strong>Diaselo<\/strong>= Panitsa<br \/><strong>Panagitsa<\/strong>= Tsiotouli<br \/><strong>Farkadona<\/strong>= Tsioti<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The old names of the villages of the Municipality of Farkadona come mainly from foreign words (Turkish, Slavic, Albanian, etc.), from the geographical location and from some special characteristic of the area.
