Further north of the village, at a distance of two kilometers, is the chapel of Agios Georgios, which celebrates the Tuesday of Diakainissimos. Regarding the history of Agios Georgios Petrotos, we don’t know about his inactivity but about his existence as the historian writes with a golden ball of Simeon Uros in 1366 he was in the place where he is today. So the village was located in the area of Kotjikovou at that time and was inhabited by native inhabitants.
From 2019 onwards, every Easter Monday in the temple and the custom of Dragon Slaying, a custom that honors the memory of the great martyr Saint George, is revived.
